A second straight year of lousy weather has left many outdoor fields unplayable and once again gives teams with domes — Eden Prairie, Rosemount, Wazata, Maple Grove, Holy Angels, Wayzata, to name some — or preferred access to domes (Prior Lake) a hefty advantage. While those teams practice in climate-controlled comfort, others are forced to work out in gymnasiums or scramble to book off-peak dome time.
