Pity the scoreboard operator and public address announcer – often one and the same person during lacrosse season – assigned Rosemount games. Talk about hazard pay. The Irish, led by the irrepressible Yepsen twins, Conner and Carter, are up to their high-scoring tricks again this season. Conner has 15 goals and Carter eight through two games, both Irish wins – by a combined score of 35-11. Eastview is coming off an 11-9 loss to Bloomington Jefferson on Saturday in its season opener, but this is a program that has been at or near the top of the state’s pecking order for years. The Lightning’s defense needs some tightening, but this is a team – led by midfielders Michael Stillings and Brett Schweiger – that can score goals in bunches, too.
