Anoka at Champlin Park
6:30 p.m., Monday, May 5

Anoka has played just two games, effectively avoiding much of this spring’s wet, cold and generally miserable weather. The Tornadoes opened with an 8-6 win over Maple Grove on April 23, then routed Coon Rapids 19-1 a week later. Now Anoka’s season really gets cranked up, and there’s no better test in the Northwest Suburban Conference than unbeaten Champlin Park. Senior Shane Weigman leads Anoka with six goals, and senior Jake Kocovsky has team highs of seven assists and 11 points. This matchup opens a brutal four-game week for the Rebels, who are 3-0 and allowing just 3.5 goals per game.
