MN Lax Hub Spotlight Game

These teams perennially finish at or near the top of the Suburban East Conference standings, and it’s looking like more of the same this season. Stillwater, however, already has a conference loss to East Ridge, a team the Raiders beat 11-5 on Wednesday. The Ponies, ranked as high as No. 3 in the state to start the season, are 2-2 overall but can get right back in the Suburban East mix with a victory. A Cretin-Derham Hall win puts the Raiders in great shape for an outright league title. Stillwater has a trio of top-end offensive players in junior Carter Sanderson (18 goals), senior Katherine Sheely (13 goals) and junior Remi Larson (10 goals). Cretin-Derham Hall is 5-1 with the lone loss coming against No. 1 Blake. The Raiders are led by senior Giselle Rogers’ 19 goals. Junior Monica Whaley has 12 goals, and freshman goaltender Elle Crawford (8.33 goals-against average, .620 save percentage) is one of the state’s top young talents.
