MN Lax Hub Spotlight Game

Eastview, state champion in 2012 and runner-up to Eden Prairie last year, is just 5-6 but will be a dangerous opponent when the playoffs start next week. How dangerous? This game against the longtime rival Eagles will be a great measuring stick for the Lightning, who have lost three of their last four. Eastview has been highly competitive in all of its losses with the exception of a 12-6 setback against Lakeville North last Tuesday. Senior Michael Stillings is the go-to guy on offense. He has a team-best 27 goals. Eden Prairie’s offense hasn’t been as dynamic as in recent years. The No. 4 Eagles (8-2) are winning with a stingy defense – they haven’t allowed more than eight goals in a single game all season – and great goaltending from senior Max Fahey (.625 save percentage, 5.00 goals against average).
