Eden Prairie at Blake

MN Lax Hub Spotlight Game

Eden Prairie was in danger of suffering its first regular season loss to a Minnesota team other than Blake in recent history when it got a last-second goal from sophomore Sara Woodring to beat Benilde-St. Margaret’s 14-13 last Tuesday. The Eagles were outscored 7-5 in the second half, setting up the dramatic finish. Woodring, the sister of 2013 Mr. Lacrosse award winner Jake Woodring, has scored 40 goals, tied for ninth-best in the state. Blake hasn’t had any close calls against state competition. The Bears have scored at least 12 goals in all nine of their victories. Junior Olivia Nolan has a team-high 39 goals, and senior Lydia Sutton, who has committed to play at Southern California, has 30.
