Minnetonka at Eden Prairie
7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 2

Three-time defending state Class 6A champion Eden Prairie once again enters the week as a heavy favorite. This week, in particular, the Eagles have several advantages as they prepare to take on Minnetonka in a Lake Conference matchup. Eden Prairie (5-0, 1-0), ranked No. 1 in Class 6A, is playing at home and the Eagles are well rested after a bye week. They also take on a slumping Skippers' team.

Minnetonka (3-3, 0-2) dropped close games to Hopkins and Edina the last two weeks. The Skippers lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Hornets as Edina's fourth-quarter field goal proved to be the difference.

Minnetonka needs another solid performance from senior quarterback Braden Sikes if the Skippers hope to pull the upset. Sikes threw for 258 yards and three touchdowns while gaining 110 yards on the ground last week.
