White Bear Lake at Wayzata
7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 15

White Bear Lake appeared in three of the last four state tournaments but hasn't advanced beyond the semifinals. Results could be different for the Bears this year, with Lafayette College-signee Connar Dehnert (54-19-73, 36 ground balls) leading a strong midfield that also includes juniors Ethan Peterson (23-27-50, 59 ground balls) and Shane Olsen (29-13-42).

After a third-place finish at least season’s state tournament, Wayzata looks primed to make the jump into the title game with four of its top scorers returning. Dangerous attackers facilitate the Trojans' offense, with senior Charlie Chernak (27-14-41) and junior Amar Batra (23-10-33) stretching defenses. Senior midfielders Adam Grooms (21-5-26) and Grant Long (25-11-36) are capable of taking over games.
