The Skippers' biggest preseason priority was to firm up plans for replacing leading scorer Ali Ridge, who amassed 63 goals during her senior season. Senior midfielder Erin McGinnis (26-6-32) and sophomore forward Savannah Bhojmani (22-7-29) could be counted on to step into the scoring roles this season.

Edina struggled in a 16-2 season-opening loss to Stillwater, but the Hornets still have some offensive talent. Senior forward Anna Rummel (17-5-22) and junior forwards Catherine MacLennan (24-6-33) and Emily Reinke (11-8-19) are the catalysts of the offense.
