Bloomington Jefferson at Eden Prairie
5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 7

No. 3 Bloomington Jefferson (7-0) has maintained its position in the rankings -- and its unbeaten mark -- due to an offense averaging nearly 13 goals per game.

Junior attackman Ryan Graff (14-15-29) and senior attackman Joey Eggleston (17-9-26) give the Jaguars a formidable combination at the front end of the field, and senior midfielder Malik Ekpenyong (17 goals) produces in the transition game.

Junior attackman Weiland Parrish has come on in his last two games, recording a total of five goals and two assists in wins over Chaska and Eastview.

Unlike the streaking Jaguars, Eden Prairie (5-2) has lost back-to-back games. The Eagles fell to Lake Conference foes Edina (5-4) and Wayzata (9-4) and are likely to lose the state's No. 1 ranking. A victory over the Jaguars could help stop the slide.

The usually explosive Eagles' offense, led by junior midfielder J.D. Spielman (20-7-27) and senior attackmen Sean Patterson (18-7-25) and Nic Perkins (19-4-23), was shut out in the second half of the Wayzata loss.
