Hill-Murray at Mahtomedi
7 p.m., Thursday, May 7

Hill-Murray (6-1, 4-0 Metro East Conference) had a six-game winning streak stopped by Park of Cottage Grove, falling to the Wolfpack 14-12 on May 1.

The loss, however, shouldn’t sidetrack the Pioneers and their dynamic offense. Sophomore forward Caroline Cayot (35-9-44) continues to put up impressive numbers, including seven goals in an 11-8 victory over Tartan on April 28.

Senior forward Sarah Link (8-13-21) has shown herself to be a creative playmaker, while senior midfielder Taylor Lambert (8-7-15) gives Hill-Murray another scoring option. Both have helped the Pioneers ascend to the top spot in the league standings.

Mahtomedi (6-1, 3-0) has established itself as the only real competition for Hill-Murray in the Metro East Conference, where the Zephyrs are sitting in second place. Mathomedi has outscored conference opponents 57-6 this season behind the play of junior midfielder Kailey Heinl (20-16-26) and junior forward Sabrina Seidl (20-10-30), who can score in bunches.
