Perennial power Blake (0-1) stumbled in the season opener, falling to another contender Prior Lake 9-6 after squandering a 4-0 first-quarter lead.

If the Bears want to tighten up on the back end, they'll need senior defender Crey Bankes, a two-time All-American selection by the Minnesota Boys' Lacrosse Coaches Association, to rally his defensive troops. 

Mahtomedi returned the bulk of its scoring from last season, and the Zephys (1-0) have picked up where they left off, displayed in a 17-6 drubbing of Stillwater in the season opener.
