Eden Prairie at Edina
5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 3

Top-ranked Eden Prairie is kicking off the season in impressive fashion, spearheaded by an offense that has outscored opponents 59-11 in the first three games.

The Eagles (3-0, 2-0) also left little doubt why they are atop the Lake Conference standings after rolling in victories over league rivals Wayzata (19-4 on April 21) and Minnetonka (20-4 on April 27).

Forwards Sara Woodring (9-8-17) and Sammie Morton (12-2-14) combine with midfielder Naomi Rogge (10-5-15) to balance Eden Prairie's scoring attack, but a win in the Eagles' matchup with Edina may not come as easy.

The Hornets have climbed to No. 7 in the rankings and momentum after back-to-back wins over No. 9 Lakeville South and Hopkins. Senior forward Catherine MacLennan (12-5-17) and sophomore midfielder Lolita Fidler (9-5-14) lead Edina (3-2, 2-1) in scoring.
