The South Suburban Conference champion will likely be determined this week, and depending on how the dominoes fall, this game could have a big say in who lays claim to the league crown.

Prior Lake is riding high after thumping previously undefeated No. 9 Mahtomedi 13-1 on May 15, with a potent attack led by senior midfielder Matt Denman (22-24-46).

Face-off specialist Jack Dessler (67% of face-offs won) can dominate the middle of the field for the No. 6 Lakers (8-4, 6-2), who are one game behind South Suburban frontrunner Rosemount and a half game behind second-place Lakeville North. 

Senior attacker Donavon Dempsey (17-20-37) and sophomore midfielder David Byers (18-7-25) are the focal points for Lakeville South (6-4, 4-3). The Cougars need to bounce back after suffering consecutive losses to Eagan and Holy Angels.
