Tartan may be meeting Mahtomedi at just the right time in a game that decides first place in the Metro East Conference.

The Titans (8-1, 4-0) have outscored league opponents 57-14 this season, propelled by the play of attackers Sam Lindahl (29-19-48) and Andrew Henderson (28-5-33). The scoring duo will need to sustain their offensive output for a chance in this high-stakes conference contest.

Mahtomedi (9-1, 4-0) suffered its first loss of the season on May 14 to No. 6 Prior Lake. The No. 9 Zephyrs are hampered by a litany of injuries, including face-off specialist Lucas Honebrink. Fortunately for Mahtomedi, senior attackers Matt Schwartz (24-35-59) and Connor Lawless (30-5-35) are healthy.
