Bloomington Jefferson at Edina
7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 1

Edina could be seeking revenge after its last run-in with Bloomington Jefferson ended the Hornets’ season. The Jaguars recorded a 2-1 victory in the Class 2A, Section 6 semifinals a year ago.

Edina, which ascended to the top of the latest Class 2A rankings, defeated Chanhassen 4-1 and No. 2-1A Breck 2-0 last week. Junior Matt Lindberg displayed his deadeye aim, notching a hat trick on just four shots against the Storm.

Jefferson finished last season 6-9-4 after dropping their first four games. The No. 10-2A Jaguars avoided a similar start this season with shutout victories over Park of Cottage Grove and Farmington last week.

Edina edged Jefferson 1-0 in last year's regular-season meeting.
