Edina vs. Eden Prairie
7:30 p.m., Friday, April 14

Despite having had a highly talented senior class and the No. 2 seed in the Section 6 playoffs, Edina missed out on its first trip to the state tournament since 2012 after bowing out in the section finals to eventual state champion Prior Lake.

Senior attacker Max Selle and his 14 goals and 22 points will take on a larger scoring role this season for the Hornets, as will senior midfielder Parker Rickert (13 goals) and junior attacker Quinn Marple (nine goals).

With leading scorer Nicky Leivermann (46 goals) and staunch defensive standout Jackson Zaugg back for encore senior performances, Eden Prairie very well could be in line for its first Lake Conference championship since 2014.

Senior Connor Olson (33 goals, 48 points) and sophomore Colin Penn (23 goals, 33 points) are also back for the Eagles, along with last season's goalies Noah Becker and Matt Wasson.

Look for the loaded Eagles and the promising-yet-unproven Hornets to duke it out in this matchup.
