Hastings has all the necessary returning pieces to crack the double-digit win mark, with junior midfielder Jack Arvidson (25-10-35), and junior attackers Noah Bzoskie (29-5-34) and Erik Iverson (14-16-30) all coming back to build on last season's 8-7 campaign. 

Junior goaltender Jaden Axelrod is also back for the Raiders, giving Hastings excellent balance on offense and defense on a team featuring just four seniors. 

Breck, like Hastings, has several key pieces returning to the lineup. Senior attacker Reed Goldstein returns to lead the offense after his 19-goal, 32-point performance during the 2016 season.

Sophomore attacker Arlo Zelickson (10 goals) and sophomore goaltender Bryce Parrish (played in nine games) rejoin Goldstein on a Mustangs' team that finished last season at 5-8.
