Minnetonka vs. Holy Family Catholic
12 p.m., Saturday, April 22

Holy Family Catholic may no longer have last spring’s Ms. Lacrosse recipient, Megan Menzuber, but the Fire, ranked No. 11 by the state coaches' association poll, appear ready for another winning season by returning all 10 of the other players who registered a point in 2016.

Sophomore Leigh Steiner (29-18-47) will be vital in the midfield and will be tapped to replace Menzuber’s playmaking abilities. Juniors Molly Kalb (29-3-32) and Molly Garin (18-9-27) return at attack for the Fire who aim to improve upon last year’s 10-5 mark which ended in the Section 2 semifinals to eventual state champion Eden Prairie.

Minnetonka (1-0) defended its home turf Saturday, pulling off a 13-12 comeback victory over Lakeville South, and the No. 5 Skippers look to carry that momentum into this week. Savannah Bhojwani tallied six points, while Anna DiFrancesco netted the game-winner Saturday.
