Apple Valley at Prior Lake
7 p.m., Thursday, April 27

Apple Valley and Prior Lake have developed a burgeoning rivalry as the top two teams in the South Suburban Conference for several years. The Lakers have ended the Eagles’ past two seasons, including a 13-5 win in the Section 6 championship in 2016.

Prior Lake (2-0) defended its No. 4-ranking with close victories over No. 5 Minnetonka (7-4) and No. 10 Chanhassen (9-8) last week. Lexi Peer and Sarah Pierson combined for seven goals against the Storm, with Peer scoring three and Pierson netting four.

The Eagles ousted upset-minded No. 7  Edina 18-11 on Saturday, capping a three-win week for No. 6 Apple Valley (3-0, 1-0). Navy commit Reagan Roelofs has 16 goals and four assists in those wins and surpassed the 300 career goal milestone in Thursday’s 19-3 win over Academy of Holy Angels.
