Bloomington Jefferson at Eastview
2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 29
Three-time All-American and 2016 Star Tribune Metro Player of the Year Ryan Graff has departed the Bloomington Jefferson lineup for Harvard, eliciting a sigh of relief from opponents. However, the No. 15 Jaguars (3-1) have had two players fill void left by Graff, keeping the offense prolific in 2017.
Senior midfielder Wes Wolfe (10-4-14) and junior attacker Blake Camuel (8-1-9) have steered the Jaguars to 51 goals in just four games, including wins over Burnsville (14-13 on April 13), Minneapolis (13-6 on April 17) and Robbinsdale Cooper (19-1 on April 20). Bloomington Jefferson's lone loss was Prior Lake last Saturday (9-5).
Eastview (1-0) had the pleasure of blemishing Bloomington Jefferson's otherwise spotless regular season record in 2016, and the Lightning return the core of that team that ended its run in the Section 6 semifinals.
Senior midfielder Maxwell Herzog (4-1-5) and senior attacker Noah Linder (3-1-4) combined to score more than half of the No. 5 Lightning's goals in a season-opening 13-1 win over Rochester Century.
