Wayzata at Mahtomedi
7 p.m., Saturday, April 29

Strong midfield play will be the hallmark of this tilt between Wayzata and Mahtomedi, with an added emphasis on winning draws and controlling running lanes.

Manning the middle of the field for the No. 2 Trojans will be junior Dalton Seesz (2-2-4), who will play a major role if Wayzata (2-1) wants to get back on track after having its two-game win streak snapped in a 9-4 loss to top-ranked Eden Prairie on April 18.

Mahtomedi (3-0) has outscored its opponents 37-15, securing wins over Stillwater (8-6 on April 13), St. Paul (16-1 on Apr. 18) and White Bear Lake (13-8 on April 21).

Lining up opposite Seesz at midfield for the No. 7 Zephyrs is Lucas Honebrink (5-1-6), who leads the team with 37 face-off wins in 45 attempts. Junior midfielder Josh Campbell (7-3-10) offers depth up the middle for Mahtomedi.
