Farmington at Prior Lake
5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 2

Without the same overpowering offensive attack it had last year, Prior Lake has leaned on some of the stingiest defense in the state. The Lakers give up only 5.5 goals per game, including against quality opponents such as No. 6 Minnetonka, No. 7 Chanhassen, Burnsville and No. 3 Apple Valley.

Sarah Pierson (12-1-13) was a model of efficiency in the Lakers’ win over Apple Valley last week. She scoring on all five of her shots, including her final two that clinched the victory. Prior Lake will need to continue to make the most of its offensive possessions if it's going to limit the high-scoring Tigers on Tuesday.

Farmington has averaged nearly 15 goals per game this season on the shoulders of Ashley Steffes (13-15-28) and Kamryn Corraro (18-8-26), who lead four other runners with at least seven goals.

The Tigers offense must continue churning for Farmington to leave its toughest contest of the year with a victory.
