Benilde-St. Margaret's at Lakeville North
7 p.m., Friday, May 19

Benilde-St. Margaret’s had its unblemished campaign tarnished in a 10-7 loss to No. 7 Chanhassen on May 9.

Despite defeat, the No. 3 Red Knights (7-1, 3-1) do not figure to disintegrate, as the team has seven players with at least 12 points on the season, including three with 20 or more. Junior attacker Eric Weber leads the pack with 10 goals and 22 points.

Back-to-back losses to Prior Lake (9-7 on May 9) and Rosemount (8-7 on May 11) sent Lakeville North's record below .500, albeit with four of the five losses by two goals or less.

To defeat Benilde-St. Margaret's, the No. 9 Panthers (4-5, 2-4) will need a strong performance from junior attacker Luke Spanier (13-21-34). And with a victory, Lakeville North may regain its standing as a state contender.
