Since a 13-10 loss to No. 3 Benilde-St. Margaret’s on May 6, Mahtomedi has won three straight games, including one-goal victories over Metro East Conference rival Tartan (11-10 on May 9) and No. 5 Prior Lake (9-8 on May 13).

The primary catalyst for the No. 6 Zephyrs (10-1, 5-0) has been Timmy Lindquist. The junior has seven goals and 13 points in two of those three victories and leads the team in total goals (25) and points (40).

Simley has consecutive victories over Park of Cottage Grove (11-10), Breck (15-2) and Chaska (8-3) while outscoring each by a 2-to-1 margin. Senior midfielder Josh Halloran currently ranks fourth among Metro East players with 23 goals.

The Spartans (6-1, 2-1) in enter the week trailing the league-leading Zephyrs in the standings by two games.
