Eden Prairie moved one step closer to its third consecutive girls' lacrosse state championship with a 19-3 victory over Farmington on Thursday in the semifinal round at Chanhassen High School.
Brooke Lewis led the way for the Eagles with four goals and four assists. Alyce Holtan had four goals and three assists. Star Tribune metro player of the year Naomi Rogge had two goals and three assists.
Sammie Morton had four goals for Eden Prairie, while Abby Johnson had two goals. Maggie Brown had a goal and an assist, CJ Froemming scored a goal, Claire Holtan had a goal and Soleil Tysk had an assist.
The Eagles scored six goals in the first 6:11 of the game, including three in a 51-second span.
The Tigers had a small flurry within the final seven minutes of the first half, but a pair of shots failed to find the back of the net off fouls. Kamryn Corraro scored the Tigers' first goal with 19:38 left in the second half. Josephine Laube and Christine Steffes also scored for the Tigers.
