Q and A with Eastview senior Alex Wohl

Alex Wohl

Eastview senior midfielder Alex Wohl was enjoying his best season before being sidelined because of a torn ACL in the sixth game of the season. He still serves as a captain for the Lightning, with his sights set on winning a state championship. Here is a closer look at Wohl, who was also a goalie on the hockey team this past winter:

The best movie I've seen in the last year? "Act of Valor." We watched this movie as a team and it linked well with our Dark Army motto.

Three words or phrases my friends or teammates might use to describe me? Dedicated; modest; responsible.

At my first varsity practice, I felt ... so nervous and so afraid to make a mistake. Over the years I have learned that is exactly how you can't play lacrosse. This year I was playing with a load of confidence and the game slowed down for me. I could tell I was having the best season I have ever had before I got hurt.

What is your most memorable moment as a high school athlete? My most memorable moment as a high school athlete happened in our first game of the season when we came from behind to beat Minnetonka in overtime. It was our home opener and a fun environment for the team since the game was the first Lax Hub game of the week.

Who is your favorite college or pro sports team and why? My favorite pro sports team has always been the Colorado Avalanche. My favorite goalie growing up was Patrick Roy. When I was 9 years old, I got invited by Peter Forsberg to eat dinner with the entire Avalanche team after a Wild game and got autographs from all the players.

In 10 years, I hope I'm ... working somewhere in the NHL.
