The inaugural Gott to Lax Tournament is scheduled for July 13-14 at Hill-Murray High School in Maplewood and will include 10 high school boys’ teams and eight Under-11 teams.
The tournament was created in honor of Hill-Murray graduate Adam Gott, a former youth, high school and collegiate club lacrosse player from Stillwater. Gott, who played at St. John’s, shared his passion for lacrosse as a volunteer coach during mini youth camps at Hill-Murray. He died on June 30, 2012, in a dirt bike accident.
The tournament will include a vendor village, food trucks and silent auction. Proceeds from the event will be directed to the Adam Gott Collegiate Club Lacrosse Player Fee Scholarship Fund.
