Boys: Top seed Eden Prairie, defending champ Eastview to meet for title

The Eagles defeated White Bear Lake while the Lightning defeated tournament newcomer Champlin Park.

Defending boys’ lacrosse state champion Eastview held off tournament newcomers Champlin Park in a 10-6 victory in Thursday’s first semifinal game at Chanhassen High School.

The No. 2 seed Lightning will face No. 1 seed Eden Prairie, which defeated No. 4 seed White Bear Lake 17-8. The championship game takes place at 7 p.m. Saturday at Chanhassen.

Tanner Hamill scored four goals for Eastview, which saw its lead cut to 7-6 in the fourth quarter by two Champlin Park goals scored 17 seconds apart. the Rebels were the No. 3 seed.
