Leadership awards will go to two high school seniors

Homegrown Lacrosse to present $400 Community Leadership scholarships

Homegrown Lacrosse will give Community Leadership Awards to two graduating Minnesota high school lacrosse players who exemplify the qualities of character, confidence and community.

Winners will be awarded $400 scholarships for use towards their freshman year tuition. Finalists will receive a variety of Homegrown Lacrosse merchandise.

Recipients and finalists will be notified the week of May 30 and formally recognized at a yet to be named event in early June.

Applicants are asked to submit:

    *  Completed application form (download PDF)
    *  A summary of your volunteer activities and community involvement during high school
    * Contact information for a representative of a non-profit organization for which you volunteered
    * A short three paragraph essay telling us about the contribution you have made to your community and what you have learned from the experience
    * One letter (or email) of recommendation from your high school lacrosse coach

Applications are due via email to Homegrown Lacrosse by midnight on May 24, 2010. Submissions are to be sent to leadershipaward@homegrownlacrosse.org

Submissions will be judged by Homegrown Lacrosse staff and members of the organization’s board of directors.
