Lakeville South rallied to win the state consolation championship last season, and the high-powered Cougars take on Lake Conference powerhouse Minnetonka in the Top Game of the Week.

South Suburban Conference power Lakeville South returns offensive dynamo Maddy Canney. The senior forward scored a dazzling 66 goals last season, adding 39 assists for 105 points. Senior midfielder Maddie Brown (23-5-28) gives the Cougars another scoring option if Canney is keyed on.

The Skippers need to find a way to replace the scoring that they got from Ali Ridge last season, and senior midfielder Erin McGinnis (26-6-32) could be a player they rely on to fill the void.
