Blake, with an enrollment of approximately 500, travels to Prior Lake, a school with more than 2,200 students, for a Tuesday game that is a true David-versus-Goliath battle. The only twist in our Top Game of the Week is that the Bears are the giant in this matchup.

Blake is the traditional lacrosse power, with one title (2008) and four appearances at state since the Minnesota State High School League version of the tournament was established in 2007. The Bears enter this season off back-to-back trips to state and - as they do nearly every season - return talent in droves, led by junior defenseman Crey Bankes and senior attackman Quinn Ellis.

Prior Lake, with no state tournament appearances, plays the part of upstart challenger, with senior midfielder Cullen Sowder and junior midfielder Ben Ward powering the returning the core of last season’s team that finished tied for second in the South Suburban Conference.
