B-SM gets top seed in state tournament

Red Knights will play Wayzata in first semifinal; Eagan to meet Totino-Grace

As expected, Benilde-St. Margaret's, the state's No. 2-ranked team fresh off a dominating Section 5 final victory over No. 1-ranked and previously unbeaten Blake, received the No. 1 seed in the Minnesota State High School League state tournament.

The Red Knights (14-1) will play No. 4 seed Wayzata (11-6) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, at 6 p.m. at Mounds View High School.

No. 2 seeded Totino-Grace (14-3) will play No. 3 seed Eagan (12-4) at 8 p.m. in the second semifinal, also on Thursday, June 10, at Mounds View High School.

The state championship game is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Friday, June 11, at Mounds View High School.
