A berth in the state tournament consolation finals is not on the line in this matchup between Maple Grove and Blaine, but that won't take much of the edge away from this Northwest Suburban Conference rivalry.

The Bengals defeated the Crimson 9-5 in their postseason bout a year ago, and Blaine attacker John Hicke and midfielder Alec Larson combined for six goals in the win. Both are back for their senior season and likely looking to outduel Maple Grove again.

The Crimson counter with senior midfielder Tom Wolden, who leads the league with nine goals.

This is the first time the teams have met since last year's state tournament clash and both boast rosters with players who remember the outcome, making the latest chapter in their history our pick for the Top Game of the Week.
