After making its first state tournament appearance last season, Robbinsdale Armstrong is off to a strong start this year and faces an undefeated Maple Grove team on Friday with a chance to keep the race for Northwest Suburban Conference standings close entering the second half of the regular season schedule.

The Crimson begin the week tied with Champlin Park atop the league standings while the Falcons are just a game back.

With both teams boasting strong offensive fronts, scoring could be fast and furious in this showdown. Keep an eye on Armstrong's Hannah Lundquist (11-5-16) and Maple Grove's Lauren Kaufman (15-12-27) - senior forwards who are the offensive cogs for their teams.

With league rivals battling for positioning the standings, this Northwest Suburban battle is our Top Game of the Week.
