Three teams have emerged atop of the standings in a loaded South Suburban Conference that features four teams ranked in the state coaches' poll, including league leader No. 3 Lakeville North.
The order could change quickly in a span of six days as the Panthers play back-to-back road games against the two teams they hold a slight edge over, beginning Thursday with third-place Eastview in our Top Game of the Week. Lakeville North visits second-place and fifth-ranked Rosemount on May 17.
The Panthers (8-1, 6-0) will look to senior midfielder Luke Anderson (20 goals, 14 assists, 34 points) to maintain a spotless league record against a Lightning squad that has pulled a pair of upsets in their last three games.
Eastview (5-1, 4-1) defeated No. 9 Prior Lake last week and a then-No. 4-ranked Bloomington Jefferson in late April, helping the Lightning climb to No. 5 in the latest rankings and run its winning streak to five games.
