In a highly-anticipated No. 1 versus No. 2 matchup last week, Eden Prairie (3-0, 3-0) proved its rank in the Minnesota Boys Lacrosse Coaches Association poll, defeating Wayzata 9-4 on April 14.

The Trojans (3-1, 2-1) slid to the sixth spot in the rankings, paving way for Lakeville North (1-0) to take the second spot underneath the Eagles, who'll have to defend their stake atop the poll against the Panthers this Saturday.

No. 3 Prior Lake (2-0), No. 4 Eastview (1-0) and No. 5 Eagan (1-0) all are members of the South Suburban Conference along with Lakeville North, which'll make for an exciting league slate in future weeks.

Mahtomedi holds onto the seventh spot in the poll after defeating St. Paul 16-1 and White Bear Lake 13-8 last week. The Zephyrs (3-0) face Wayzata on Saturday.

Chanhassen (1-1) hung with the Panthers 10-7 in its season opener and beat Blake 12-5 last Thursday to take the No. 8 rank.

No. 9 Anoka and No. 10 Benilde-St. Margaret's close the top 10 rankings as both teams boast 2-0 records after a week of action.
