Girls' lacrosse highlights: May 15-20

Rachel Graff had 10 goals to help Bloomington Jefferson hold off Eagan in a high-scoring affair.

May 15

Bloomington Jefferson 22, Eagan 21. Bloomington Jefferson hung on to edge Eagan in a high-scoring game. Jaguars' leading scorer Rachel Graff raised her season total to 53 goals with 10 in the win. Julia Jones had three goals and five assists while Kiera Lowe had five goals and an assist for Jefferson. Goaltender Gabrielle Norberg earned her sixth win of the season and had 20 saves. Eagan’s Sara McNicoll had four goals and seven assists, and teammate Molly Busch had five goals and five assists.

May 16

Cretin-Derham Hall 12, Roseville 7. Roseville led by a goal at the half, but No. 9 Cretin-Derham Hall exploded in the second half, scoring eight times to take control and extend its winning streak to six games. Megan Reis scoring five goals for Cretin-Derham Hall, increasing her season total to 26, while teammate Maya Quigley had a hat trick and two assists in the victory. Goaltender Elle Crawford finished with 20 saves. Roseville’s Ellie Peine scored a hat trick to raise her goal total to 18 on the season, and teammate Hannah Distad had a goal and two assists.

May 18

Blake 17, Edina 11. Blake led by three goals at the end of the first half and added eight more in the second to build sufficient lead in the victory over No. 6 Edina. The No. Bears' leading scorer Shannon Ellis has 29 goals after scoring four times in the win. Emily Johnsrud had four goals and an assist, and goaltender Lucia Warner earned her sixth win of the season. The Hornets' Loli Fidler scored four times to increase her season total to 23 while teammate Anna Klein had a goal and four assists.

May 20

Bloomington Jefferson 8, Roseville 7. Bloomington Jefferson extended its win streak to four games as Jaguars' points leader Rachel Graff reached 71 on the season after scoring a goal and assisting three in the win. Teammates Julia Jones and Kiera Lowe each had two goals. Goaltender Gabrielle Norberg earned her seventh win of the season and collected 17 saves. Roseville leading scorer Ciara Colvard had a hat trick, giving 47 goals on the year. Ellie Peine also had a hat trick, and goaltender Ashley Olsen had eight saves.
