Boys' lacrosse highlights: May 15-20

Alexander Sahli and Riley Nelson had three points apiece to spark the Wayzata's upset of Chanhassen.

May 15

Wayzata 7, Chanhassen 6 (OT).  Wayzata improved to 6-4 after upsetting Chanhassen in overtime. Alexander Sahli led No. 13 Wayzata with two goals and an assist, and teammate Riley Nelson contributed with a hat trick. Goaltender Will Ramert earned his sixth win of the season and had 17 saves. Jack Welch and Jay Lokhorst each had two goals for No. 4 Chanhassen. Storm goaltender Parker Woolf had 20 saves.

May 16

Monticello 17, Hutchinson 11. Casey Chiado was unstoppable for Monticello, scoring nine goals and bringing his season total to 32. Teammate Maverick Wools contributed four goals in the victory. Goaltender Calvin Dahlheimer earned the win. Hutchinson’s Jack Schintz and Chris Hagerman each had three goals.

Farmington 9, Apple Valley 7. Farmington held on to defeat South Suburban Conference rival Apple Valley behind the play of Quinn Rudrud, who had a hat trick and an assist. Thomas Fogerty had two goals and an assist for the Tigers. Goaltender Cam Rudrud earned the win with 13 saves. West Walstrom led the Eagles with two goals and an assist, and teammate Hunter DeWall had a goal and an assist. Goaltender Sam Kostonas had 17 saves.

May 18

Eastview 12, Eagan 7. No.1 Eastview extended its winning streak to 12 with a win over No. 2 Eagan. The Lightning's Noah Lindner had a hat trick give him a team-best 34 goals on the season. Teamamte Noah Joseph contributed three goals and two assists in the win. Goaltender Jackson Berain finished with 11 saves and picked up his 12th win. Brandon Wuertz had four goals and an assist while Andrew Chvatal had two assists for the Wildcats. Goaltender Jack Courington had 10 saves.

East Ridge 9, Woodbury 6. East Ridge led by one goal going into the fourth quarter and extended the lead with three goals in the fourth to get the win. Nicholas Wolter had four goals for the Raptors, and teammate Jack Mohler had a goal and two assists. Goaltender Thomas Miles earned the win. Chase Schlorhaufer had a team-high three assists and Nate Reetz had two goals and an assist for the Royals.

May 19

Shakopee 7, Farmington 6. Shakopee improved to 8-4 after edging Farmington. Cabe Maskevich led the Sabers with four assists, giving him 30 on the season. Teammate Joey Kubicek had three goals, and goaltender Scott Carpenter stopped 10 shots to earned his eighth win of the season. Dante Buck had a good game for the Tigers, scoring three goals while Thomas Fogerty had two.

May 20

Mahtomedi 7, East Ridge 5. No. 6 Mahtomedi improved to 12-1 with a win over East Ridge. Timmy Lindquist led the Zephyrs with two goals, increasing his season total to a team-best 29 goals. Josh Campbell scored twice in the win and has 26 goals on the year. Goaltender Ian Kegley earned his 12 victory. The Raptors' Joey Arndt and Grant Woodward each had two goals.
