On April 28, the Eden Prairie High School girls' lacrosse team faced its biggest challenge of the season in an 11-9 win over Minnetonka.

The game was close from the get go. Minnetonka scored first and built a 3-1 lead before Eden Prairie roared back with four unanswered goals. Tied at 6-6, Eden Prairie regained the lead with three unanswered goals.

The Eagles planned to travel to Illinois the following day to play Loyola Academy and Evanston, but was informed that doing so would violate Minnesota State High School League rules.
