Minnetonka's Duda named Ms. Lacrosse

Senior helped Skippers reach Section 6 championship game

Hilary Duda of Minnetonka was named the first Ms. Lacrosse winner on Sunday, June 5. The award goes to the state’s top senior player.

Duda, previously named Minnesota’s Player of the Year by the state’s coaches, scored 46 goals and added 28 assists for 74 points in 13 games.

Brooke Jones of Edina won the inaugural Ms. Goalie award. Jones led the Hornets to the Section 6 championship game, where they lost to No. 1-ranked Blake. Jones went 8-4 during the regular season, when she posted a .630 save percentage.

The other Ms. Lacrosse finalists were Hilary Crowe of Blake, Hannah Dickman and Sammi Reiter of Stillwater, Paige Jones of Edina, Abigail New of Holy Family Catholic and Sheridan Reiners of Bloomington Kennedy.

Caroline Griffith of Breck was the other Ms. Goalie finalist.
