SPRING SEASON WRAP UP

The Spring Season is over! I can't remember such a wet and cold spring. Canceled practices and games seemed to be the norm.

My biggest concern on Saturday mornings wasn't the directions to the fields, but wondering if we would be contacted (or not) regarding a canceled game. Practice night concerns weren't related to practice agendas, but whether the fields would even be available for practice. Thanks to the RAAA Lacrosse board for the indoor spring practice. Many local communities first organized event was a game WITHOUT any practice at all.

I would like to thank my assistant coaches Tanner Fandrick and Andrew Paget. They planned and ran most of the practices with my assistance, not vice-versa. These young men donated their time to coach for the love of the game. As time goes on, hopefully we will have more experienced lacrosse players like them to coach our players. Tanner and Andrew will both coach this summer, so your players may end up playing for them again.

Thanks to Doug Wheeler for keeping our team's RAAA web page up to date.

Thanks to Brian Stromback, RAAA Lacrosse's scheduler. Brian was is constant contact with me regarding last minute changes, cancellations, field closings, etc. Due to the weather, Brian was even busier than normal.

Thanks to the other RAAA Lacrosse board member. A LOT of work is done behind the scenes all year to make all of this possible. Check the RAAA website to see how you can help.

JERSEY RETURN

I will be assisting in the 3/4 and 5/6 evaluations. These will be held 6:30-8 pm, Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

Please wash the jerseys and return them to me on or before the end of Thursday's evaluation.

IT'S PLAYOFF TIME FOR THE SOUTH SUBURBAN CHAMPS

RAAA lacrosse is encouraging our teams to come out and support the RHS lacrosse team, the 2011 South Suburban Conference Champions

The RHS lacrosse team is seeded 1st amongst all Section 3 teams. This means that they have a first-round bye. They will play at home Friday, May 27th at 7:00pm against the winner of the Rochester Mayo and Rochester JM game. Let's continue to support them during the play-off games!
