The US Lacrosse Sportsmanship Card Program is to be used for every youth game from 9/10 down to U9. Referees are instructed not to start the game until there is a Sideline Manager (a non-coach adult on the fan sideline) from each team playing. All details and materials for the program can be found here.
All coaches are required to complete evaluations of the officials for each game that they play. This is an important tool to improve officiating in Minnesota. The more the lacrosse community puts into evaluating officials, the quicker the officials will improve. The system has scale ratings on several topics, but individualized constructive criticism is best. Also, give praise where it is due. It's a hard job and a nice word goes a long way. Once logged into your team's Arbiter Sports account, click Evaluations. Video tutorial is here.
All teams need an email in Arbiter to receive automatic notification when games are cancelled or changed.
Any team that does not complete their standard number of games (10 for U15 and U13, 8 for U11, and 5 for U9) will get a credit on their association's fees for next year. The credit is $35 per game not played. To qualify, unplayed games must be marked "cancelled" on the game schedule. Email Mark the information of any unplayed game that is not currently showing on LaxHub. Games that were suspended during the game are not eligible for a credit, as the referee gets a full fee for the game.
Teams are responsible to reschedule games. Find a date you can host, confirm what other teams can play, and then email Mark with the schedule.
Shoulder pads must be completely covered by a jersey or t-shirt during games. Pinnies with narrow shoulder straps can only be worn over something completely covering the shoulder pads.
