Minnetonka at Hopkins

After the first week of the season, Minnetonka and Hopkins are already looking up at Eden Prairie in the Lake Conference standings.

Eden Prairie (2-0, 1-0) is sitting atop the league after defeating the Royals 16-1, while the Skippers (2-1, 0-1)are also a game back after falling to Edina 11-7. A victory in this game gives the winner a chance to stay in hunt for a conference title.

Minnetonka senior midfielder Tad Utter scored eight goals and junior midfielder Brendan Ryan tallied four in the first two games. 

Hopkins (3-1, 0-1) rebounded from losing to Eden Prairie by defeating Minneapolis 8-7 in overtime. 

Junior attackman Nicholas Culp (8-6-14), junior midfielder Kamal Baker (7-3-10) and senior attackman Andrew Wallace Jackson (7-2-9) give the Royals a balanced attack.
