Holy Angels at Chanhassen
7 p.m., Thursday, April 23

Hard luck is one way to describe Holy Angels' two losses this season. The Stars (1-2) have lost one-goal games to St. Thomas Academy and White Bear Lake.

Junior attackman Tommy Kraus (8-3-11) and senior midfielder Scott McNamara (6-2-8) lead a Holy Angels' offense that's scored 41 goals in three games.

Chanhassen went 11-4 and reached the Section 2 semifinals last year in its inaugural season, losing to eventual state champion Eden Prairie.

The Storm (1-0) opened this season with a 10-8 victory over Lakeville North and seem ready to improve on their impressive first season. Chanhassen returns attackman Neal Smith, who finished as the team's second-leading scorer with 35 goals and 21 assists last year. Smith is one of eight seniors who are giving the Storm reason to believe they can make the jump in the postseason.
