Edina at Eden Prairie
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 28

Edina has shown it can compete with some of the state’s top teams, losing close games to No. 4 Wayzata (6-5) and No. 3 Bloomington Jefferson (11-8). The Hornets face another powerhouse on Tuesday when they head to No. 1 Eden Prairie, the two-time defending state champion.

A trio of junior attackmen lead Edina (1-2, 1-1). Hunter Halling (six goals) and John Marple (five) are the top goal scorers, while A.J. Nelson has shown the ability to set up his teammates with six assists in three games.

Undefeated Eden Prairie can't afford to lose any ground in a competitive Lake Conference. The Eagles (5-0, 2-0) will be on high alert after being pushed by Hornets in a closer-than-expected Section 2 champion game last season. Eden Prairie escaped with a 14-9 victory.
