Irondale at Maple Grove
7 p.m., Wednesday, April 29

A three-game winning streak has Irondale climbing the Northwest Suburban Conference standings, where the Knights are 3-2 and just one game behind league leader Maple Grove (4-1).

Junior midfielder Maddie Hentges is a dangerous offensive threat and has 23 goals (tied for second-most in the state) and 30 points (third) for Irondale. Junior midfielder Maya Hernandez has emerged with eight goals in the last three games.

Maple Grove (4-1, 4-1) had its four-game winning streak halted with a 13-12 loss to Coon Rapids on April 22. It was a blow to the Crimson, who were trying to separate from the field in the league standings. A victory over the Knights could help Maple Grove regain momentum.

Junior forward Lauren Kaufman (20-6-26) and her dynamic scoring output will be key for the Crimson.
