Eastview at Prior Lake
5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 5

Eastview is tied for second place in the South Suburban Conference with Farmington, and the Lightning (5-1, 3-1) need a win to stay within closing distance of the league leaders Lakeville South and Prior Lake as the season winds down.

Senior midfielder Anna Schoonover leads the Lightning with 16 goals, while senior forwards Rachel Munos, Taylor Carroll and Christine Leikvold have combined for 23. The quartet will be key in as Eastview tries to match the scoring punch of Prior Lake.

The No. 3 Lakers (6-0, 4-0) have a bevy of scoring options, including three who have recently emerged as legitimate threats.

Junior attacker Ashley Norberg (16-9-25) and Aleah Fjelstad (12-4-16) have established themselves as Prior Lake's most consistent scorers, but senior attacker Taylor Jones (10 goals), freshman midfielder Lexi Peer (11 goals) and sophomore midfielder Sarah Pierson (11 goals) have come on to give the Lakers some offensive flair. Senior goaltender Shelby Will quietly leads the South Suburban Conference with a sparkling .565 save percentage.

The combination of offensive firepower and a stalwart defense make the Lakers the favorite in Section 3, but the Lightning -- who are 5-1 against section opponents -- could change some minds with a victory.
