Minnetonka at Eden Prairie
7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 12

Minnetonka has won five consecutive games since a 14-11 loss to Eden Prairie on April 23, their first meeting of the season. Round 2 sets up as a possible Section 2 championship preview as the Eagles and the Skippers have outperformed the rest of the teams in the group.

Minnetonka (7-1, 5-1), ranked No. 5 by the Minnesota State High School Girls’ Lacrosse Coaches Association, has seven players with 10 or more goals this season, led by midfielders Erin McGinnis (18-13-31) and Anna DiFrancesco (19-10-29).

Junior forward Sara Woodring (26-14-40) is the leading scorer for top-ranked Eden Prairie (7-0, 5-0), but the Eagles feature a deep and talented lineup. Senior forwards Jessica Lagerquist (23 goals) and Angie Heppelman (15-12-27) and junior midfielder Kelly Wolfe (15 goals) give the Eagles plenty of options for putting points on the board.

A victory would send the Skippers sailing into a tie with the Eagles for first place in the Lake Conference standings.
