Eden Prairie at Edina
5:30 p.m., Thursday, May 14

Edina is coming off a wild 19-18 win over Wayzata, keeping the No. 8 Hornets (5-4, 3-3) in competition for a share of the Lake Conference crown. They are third in the standings behind Minnetonka and league-leader Eden Prairie with two conference games remaining, including the matchup on Thursday.

The Hornets have the Lake's top two scorers in junior forward Catherine MacLennan (29-11-40) and junior midfielder Emily Reinke (25-10-35) while senior forward Anna Rummel (21 goals) is fourth, giving Edina plenty of offense as it attempts to avenge an 18-7 loss to the Eagles on April 28.

The Hornets have never defeated Eden Prairie (7-0, 5-0), which looks formidable again this season. Junior forward Sara Woodring (26-14-40), senior forwards Jessica Lagerquist (23 goals) and Angie Heppelman (15-12-27) and junior midfielder Kelly Wolfe (15 goals) have made the top-ranked Eagles not only the team to beat in the Lake Conference but also in the state.
